Frequently Asked Questions About Carpet Cleaning

What do you consider an area?

Typically an area is a room up to 200 sq. ft. Living room/dining combos are considered two areas. Non-standard areas, such as baths, hallways, landings, walk-in closets, etc. are priced at a separate, usually lesser rate.

Do I need to vacuum before you clean my carpet?

Yes. We will vacuum all areas to be cleaned, but we ask that you vacuum the day before as well to ensure the removal of as much dry soil and/or pet hair on the carpet, so you get the best possible results.

How long does it take for my carpet to dry?

On average, your carpet will dry in as little as 2-3 hours. Drying time will depend on how much solution is needed, the humidity, temperature, etc. and it can take longer, so we ask that you give it 24 hours before resetting any furniture.

How long will it take to clean my carpets?

On average, an area will take about 10-20 minutes to clean. This time estimate can change considerably depending on soiling, furniture that needs to be moved and spot treatments.

Do you move furniture?

We can move light furniture upon customers request when cleaning. We do not move heavy furniture pieces, breakables and electronics.

Do you have appointment arrival windows?

No. We set our appointment for a specified time slot and we will call you when we’re on our way.

Am I able to walk on my carpet right after having it clean?

Yes, you can, although we recommend wearing shoe covers until it’s fully dry. Your technician will provide shoe covers upon request to prevent re-soiling while the carpet is still drying.

Can you guarantee removal of my stains and/or odor?

We always do the best we can to make your stains go away. Unfortunately, some stains are permanent, and some odor problems are impossible to eliminate without replacing the pad and then cleaning and sealing the subfloor.

If I have spots or stains that won’t come out from a basic cleaning, will it cost more?

We do our best to get spots and stains out with our basic cleaning process. If we need to spot treat specific stains, i.e. pet stains, coffee stains, wine, juice, rust, etc. then it would be an additional charge.

I have pet stains and/or pet odor. Can you treat this and if so, how much will it cost?

We have several options for pet stains and odor control. Treating pet stains and odor takes more work than a basic cleaning. Your technician will inspect your carpet with a UV blacklight to pinpoint where the stains are and provide options for treatment.

Do you offer protectants such as Scotchguard?

We do offer protectants. They will help in preventing re-soiling and makes it easier to clean up spills. We can apply a protectant after the cleaning. This service is not always needed so we will go over any recommendation beforehand.

If my carpet is in bad condition, will you tell me if it needs to be replaced?

Before we start cleaning, we do a thorough walkthrough pre-inspection. If we think your carpet looks like it needs to be replaced or has any needed repairs, we will let you know.

How often should I clean my carpet?

Depending on homes activity level, if you have kids, pets, wear your shoes in the house, etc., we could recommend as often as every 6-12 months, but manufacturers REQUIRE your carpet to be cleaned every 12-18 months to retain warranty.

Do you offer any other services beyond carpet cleaning?

Yes, we also offer tile and grout cleaning in two options: Cleaning Only or Cleaning and Sealing of the Grout.

Are your technicians background checked, drug screened and trained?

All our technicians are background checked, drug screened, IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) certified and given thorough and continuous job and safety training.

Do I have to pay tax or any other fees for your service?

We’re transparent about our service and don’t hide any costs. Our pricing comes with a “No Surprise Guarantee”. The price we give you on-site is the amount you pay.

Are you licensed and insured?

We are fully licensed and insured.
